David B. Theimer retired as assistant Vice President, Marketing, SourceAmerica, 8401 Old Courthouse Rd Vienna, VA 22182 on 1 February, 2015.
In September, 2000 he moved to the SourceAmerica National office and assumed duties as the Assistant Vice President, Marketing & Business Development.
Following a Field Artillery assignment in Viet Nam, (’68 &’69), Staff Sergeant (E6) Theimer reported to Officer Candidate School and upon graduation, April, 1970, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant, Field Artillery. As a Colonel in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Army Acquisition Corps, he held many top-level acquisition positions. He served as the Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting, Senior Contracting Executive at the Third US Army/Army Forces Central Command; the Deputy Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting, US Army Corps of Engineers; Commander/Senior Acquisition Official, Defense Plant Representative Office-Loral/Vought, Defense Contract Management Command. He has numerous decorations and awards including the Legion of Merit Award (3), the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (3), the Army Meritorious Service Medal (4), and the Army Commendation Medal (4).
Mr. Theimer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Cameron University, a Master of Business Administration Degree from Arizona State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Contracting & Acquisition Mgmt, from Florida Institute of Technology. He is married to Billie Nichols Theimer, and they have two daughters, Claudia Sumner & Trey Theimer. Billie & Dave live in Williamsburg, VA.
