Professional Bio
CSM Durgin’s duty positions include Cannon Crewmember, Gunner, Howitzer Section Chief, Advanced Individual Training (AIT) Instructor, Gunnery Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Battery First Sergeant, Senior Military Science Instructor, DIVARTY First Sergeant, USASMA Student, DIVARTY Operations SGM, and Battalion CSM for the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment. He is currently assigned as the 4th Infantry Division Artillery CSM. His assignment locations include Fort Riley, KS, Baumholder, Germany, Fort Sill, OK, Fort Stewart, GA, Vilseck, Germany, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, Fort Bliss, TX, and Fort Carson, CO. He has numerous training and combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait.
CSM Durgin is a graduate of all Army NCOES schools to include the United States Army Sergeant’s Major Course Class 69, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II (SEJPME II) Course, First Sergeant’s Course, Foundation Instructor Facilitator (FIFC) Course, Asymmetrical Warfare Group (AWG) ASLTE Training Course, Master Resiliency Trainer (MRT) Course (8R), Battle Staff Course (2S), Field Artillery Master Gunner Course (A7), Air Assault Course (2B), Unit Search Advisor Course, Combatives Level 1 Courses, Equal Opportunity Leader (EOL) Course, Total Army Instructor Training (TAITC) Course, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Course, and the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Course. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College.
