Professional Bio
MILITARY SERVICE
Mr. Phillips is a “Mustang”. He served on active duty in the US Army Field Artillery as an enlisted soldier from 1975 to 1978 and then became a Commissioned Officer from 1982 to 1999. During his career, he served in the United States, Europe and Middle East. While in the Field Artillery, he served in VII Corps Artillery (twice), 4th Infantry Division, and the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division. While serving as a Comptroller, he served with 3d US Army that included one combat tour in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operations Desert Shield and Storm as well as numerous other countries across the Middle East. Mr. Phillips also served as the Secretary of the General Staff and Aide to the First US Army Commander rank of Lieutenant Colonel and retired in 1999.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
Mr. Phillips earned numerous awards and decorations to include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Good Conduct Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Air Assault Badge, the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, Order of St. Maurice (Legionnaire).
