Professional Bio

Matthew Feyne enlisted in the Marine Corps in June 2007 and subsequently reported to Battery N, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines in Pico Rivera, California. Lance Corporal Feyne served as a cannon crewman and was activated in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009. In January 2011, Lance Corporal Feyne was promoted to the rank of corporal and attended the Section Chief's Course at the Artillery Training School in Camp Pendleton, California. Upon completing the course, Corporal Feyne served as an Artillery Section Chief. In June 2013 he assumed the duties of platoon sergeant. Sergeant Feyne was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in February 2014. Staff Sergeant Feyne attended California State University Northridge and graduated with a B.A. in History and an A.A. in Anthropology in 2014. In March 2016 he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. Upon completion of The Basic School and the Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Lieutenant Feyne was assigned to Battery O, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines at Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach. During this time, Lieutenant Feyne served as the Fire Direction Officer, Fire Support Officer, and Executive Officer of Battery O. In September of 2019, Lieutenant Feyne was activated in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. Lieutenant Feyne attended the Marine Advisor Course and earned the Foreign Security Forces Advisor MOS. During this time he served as the Senior Fires Advisor for the Regional Targeting Team South (Forward) as a member of Task Force South West and was promoted to the rank of Captain. Upon his return, Captain Feyne served as the Assistant Executive Officer of Battery O, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines. In January 2022, Captain Feyne was assigned as the Executive Officer of Battery Q, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines. In November 2022 Captain Feyne received orders to serve as the Commanding Officer of Battery N, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines where he deployed
